Overview

A desktop panel for timing and switching pumps through a PLC and a microcontroller, plus small controller programs for test rigs. This was built for internal use at a calibration lab, so this page is a summary only.

The problem

Pumps and simple rig movements were operated manually.

What I did

  • A control panel with timers and visible status for six pumps.
  • Microcontroller programs that drive a stepper motor and run a timed solenoid and pump sequence.

Stack

Python, PyQt, pyserial, Arduino (C/C++), PyInstaller.

Outcome / impact

Controls six pumps, in internal use.
