A desktop tool that generates selectable waveforms on analogue output hardware and plots what it is commanding. This was built for internal use at a calibration lab, so this page is a summary only.

The problem

Lab signal generation needed a simple interface.

What I did

  • Generates a choice of waveforms on analogue output hardware.
  • Plots the commanded signal as it runs.
  • Grew through eight numbered versions.

Stack

Python, Tkinter, Matplotlib, NI-DAQmx, PyInstaller.

Outcome / impact

In internal use.
